As many of you will remember from past newsletters the Swiss Cottage Community Centre lost a great deal of their government funding last year. As a consequence of this, in order to keep the Community Centre open it has been necessary for them to dramatically increase our hall rental fee. Since Mr Stephen and Miss Angelina went into partnership 10 years ago the hall rent has increased by 50%. The increase this year amounts to a 25% increase for us. To cover our costs the class fee will increase by 75p this term.
Please bear in mind that our fees equate to other ballet schools that do not always have live music. We feel that live piano is an essential part of learning ballet; Mr Stephen’s and Miss Anna’s musical input provides a unique and special part of how we teach ballet at Swiss Cottage Dance .
